PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: 29 SEPTEMBER, 2003 CONTACT: GEORGE SHUMAY, CAMPAIGN MANAGER, 238-9664 or TODD NATION, CANDIDATE, 232-2595 .............................. With Voter Registration Deadline Less Than a Week Away, Nation Campaign Reaches Out Again An event this Thursday will help anyone not yet registered to vote prepare and file their paperwork, in an effort to increase citizen participation in the upcoming City Election. "Last Call for Voter Registration" will be held from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2nd at the Coffee Grounds' downtown shop, 423 Wabash Avenue. Volunteers will help voters fill out registration paperwork, explain district and precinct boundaries, pass out sample ballots, and identify polling places for the November 4th City Election. The deadline to get registered is this coming Monday, October 6th. Todd Nation, candidate for Terre Haute City Council, encourages anyone with questions about November's City Election to respond to the Last Call by attending: "This Thursday evening will mark the fourth time that my campaign to represent the Fourth District has conducted a registration drive. We are answering the call issued last week by Leon Panetta during his visit to Indiana State University; this is grass-roots American democracy in action." For more information about this Thursday's voter registration event, call the Coffee Grounds at 238-9664 or BookNation at 232-2595.
